Training to Teach Geography and Construction of Knowledge

Abstract: The formative process of the geography teacher covers numberless problems. The objective of this article is to understand the curricular articulation between the specific disciplines of Geography and the pedagogical disciplines, as well as their role in the knowledge construction in learning to teach. As a methodology, it was carried out bibliographic research and interview with four higher education teachers. The study shows that the formative process of the geography teacher should be guided by a teacher trainer who articulates the teaching knowledge in his teaching practice and incentive future teachers to adopt the same attitude.
