Abstract

The text tries to explain climatic differences existing in the east of the Northeast region of Brazil motivated by local atmospheric circulation phenomena, influenced by atmospheric pressure differences in the average state of the atmosphere, considering the atmosphere-land-ocean interactions in the area. Literature review, analysis and interpretation of satellite images and normal weather of the area were done. We identified that the phenomena of land-sea breezes and local differences in the barometric ocean-land contrasts are responsible for important climatic differences in the area. This work of Regional Geography has filled a gap in scientific knowledge identified since the 1970s.
