Abstract

The purpose of this writing is to propose a negotiation between the concepts: ‘Desire’, by Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari, and ‘Cruelty’, by Antonin Artaud. From this, we will have another concept, ‘Cruel Desire’, besides investigating how it is present in the performance of the Body without Organs. This study, however, comes to twist/distort the concepts proposed here in order to establish connections/rhizomes within a philosophical/artistic context of the Difference.

Rodrigo Peixoto Barbara, Universidade Federal de Goiás, Goiânia, Goiás, Brasil

Doutorando e Mestre pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Performances Culturais da Universidade Federal de Goiás. Ator-bailarino licenciado em Artes Cênicas pela UFG. No campo cênico, experiencia e desenvolve estudos com ênfase no triálogo: interpretação, dança (expressão corporal/Somato-pisicopedagogia) e educação. Investiga as áreas filosóficas e literárias da Diferença sendo pesquisador das poesias transgressoras de Manoel de Barros e dos pensamentos subversivos de Friedrich Nietzsche, Antonin Artaud, Gilles Deleuze e Félix Guattari.
