The present text aims to discuss two performances of 'between': one in Victor Turner and another in Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari. In Turner, the first, 'Liminarity', will be discussed, taking into account the extent to which this term encompasses: communitas, margin, status and rites of passage (the latter, anchored in Arnold Van Gennep's theory). In Deleuze and Guattari, the second, the 'Rhizome', and consequently its flow and cut condition, of deterritorialization, of nomadism and multiplicity, will be discussed. This text is also theoretically grounded in Richard Schechner, an important theoretician in the field of Cultural Performances and influential in the writings of Victor Turner.Downloads
