SPECIAL ISSUE: BIOLOGY TEACHING - OPEN SUBMISSIONS - 01/03 to 01/09/2024

The Revista de Biologia Neotropical / Journal of Neotropical Biology (RBN) aims to publish scientific papers in the fields of Botany, Ecology, Genetics, Zoology or other related areas. In a move to broaden its focus/scope, the 2024 special issue will be dedicated to Biology Teaching.

Teaching.In Brazil, research related to this topic is growing every year thanks to the strengthening, in the 1990s, of research areas related to science education; the creation of postgraduate programmes in teaching in the early 2000s; and the organization and development of associations such as the Brazilian Society for Biology Teaching - SENBIO. These movements gave substance to the discussions on Biology Teaching that have been developing for around 30 years.

The special issue will consist of articles from research in the field (Biology Teaching) and reports of pedagogical experiences developed or focused on school education, also linked to biology teaching.
