Abstract

Didactic strategies that utilize visual images are highly functional, both for teachers and students, whether they are deaf or hearing. For deaf students, however, access to these resources is paramount. This paper talks about the use of technologic resources in lectures and activities developed for deaf students of Portuguese as a second language (L2). Through the presentation of some activities that utilize Digital Information and Communications Technologies (DICT), we seek to demonstrate the need for these technologies in the classroom and in the construction of new didactic materials.
