Abstract

No presente artigo nos propomos a analisar a importancia atribuida por Tocqueville às associações civis e políticas como meio de combater a tendência natural dos homens no Estado Democrático,ao isolamento e à indiferença pública, posto que essa tendência constitui-se como ameaça à liberdade e impede que a democracia reine no mundo político.
