Abstract

Os processos elucidatórios jogam um papel destacado tanto nas ciencias como na filosofia.A denominada 'tese de church' pode ser entendida como uma tentativa de elucidar o conceito de 'algoritmo';os esforços popperianos para identificar um critério de demarcação podem ser compreendidos como uma tentativa de elucidar o conceito de 'ciência'.A natureza de tais processos é um problema relevante para a filosofia.Alberto Coffa chamou a atenção sobre esta questão e sugeriu a existencia de dois modelos elucidatórios:o modelo quineano e o modelo tarskiano.(entendido em um sentido mais heurístico ou instrumental).Este artigo pode ser interpretado como uma reformulação das idéias de Coffa.
