Abstract

A trial to control the pink bollworm (Pectinophora gossypiella), using a new insect growth regulator was carried out in Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil. The Chlorfluazuron CE at 25, 37.5 and 50.0 g a.i./ha was compared to Deltamethrin CE at 12.5 g a.i./ha and Cypermethrin CE at 50.0 g a.i./ha, plus an untreated check. Data show that Deltamethrin CE and Cypermethrin CE at the tested dosages were efficient in controlling the pink bollworm, and Chlorfluazuron CE in the three tested dosages did not control the pink bollworm efficiently.
