BEHAVIOR OF FIVE SOYBEAN CULTIVARS, UNDER DIFFERENT INOCULUM CONCENTRATION OF Heterodera glycines
Keywords:
Glycine max, Heterodera glycines, resistence, inoculum concentrationAbstract
This study was carried out at Escola de Agronomia - UFG, under greenhouse conditions in Goiânia, GO (Lat. l6°40'00"; W, Long. 49°15'00"; S, Alt. 741.48m) from January to April, 1996. The purpose was to evaluate the behavior of ‘FT-Cristalina’, ‘EMGOPA-313’, 'FT-Estrela’, 'FT-Seriema’ and ‘Doko-RC’ soybean cultivars, under different inoculum concentrations of soybean cyst nematode Heterodera glycines. The experimental design was completely randomized, in factorial scheme 5 x 4, with four replications. The nematode population, 110 days after sowing, was not influenced by soybean cultivars and by inoculum concentration. High environmental temperature levels could have affected nematode infestation.
KEY-WORDS: Glycine max; Heterodera glycines; resistence; inoculum concentration.
