AN EVALUATION OF SOME NATURAL ENEMIES Alabama argillacea (HUEBNER. 1818) IN THE GOIÁS STATE, BRAZIL

The experiments were carried out in Goiânia and Itumbiara, Goiás, Brazil, from February to May, in two consecutive crop cycles. The main cotton leafworm natural enemies found were the egg parasitoid Trichogramma spp. and coccon parasitoid Panteloa similis, and the predatory insects Rhinacloa spp., Orius spp., Geocoris spp., Nabis spp., Podisus spp., Zellus sp., Crysoperla externa and Doru lineare. The results of Trichogramma spp. parasitism on cotton leafworm eggs showed an average of 65, 88 and 77%, respectively, in March, April and May. During May, the Tachinidae parasitism on cotton leafworm cocoon averaged 63% in Goiânia, and 68% in Itumbiara counties, respectively.
