EVALUATION OF DROPLETS DEPOSITION SPRAYED BY DIFFERENT NOZZLES IN THE DRY BEANS AND MAIZE CROPS
Keywords:
Zea mays, Phaseolus vulgaris, spray nozzlesAbstract
Two experiments were carried out in 1998 in order to evaluate the number of droplets/cm2 (droplets deposition) sprayed by nozzle types (110°-SF-01, 110°-SF-02, D2-23 and D3-25). Four nozzle types, two positions (between rows and in the row) and three collecting heights (plant’s height, half plant’s height and soil’s height) were evaluated. In the first experiment, using maize, it was observed that the 110o-SF-01 nozzle showed a larger number of droplets deposition than the others; and the deposition was larger between rows than in the row. In the second experiment, using beans, there were only differences between the 110°-SF-02 and D3-25 nozzles only.
