The chemical control of the aphids Mysus persicae and Brevicoryne brassicae, in cauliflower, through insecticide Confidor 700 GRDA and Confidor 200 SC, was evaluated in an experimental area of the Federal University of Goiás, in May 1998. Two dosages for each one of the insecticides, as standard insecticide (Tamaron) and a witness were used. Confidor 700 GRDA and Confidor 200 SC were applied at only turn in the transplanted holes, with a coastal atomizer, using jet beak. The evaluation of the results of M. persicae consisted of counting the nymphs and adults in leaves chosen by chance in plants of the central line of the parcels 35 days after the treatments. The same method was employed for the evaluation of B. brassicae 48 days after the chemical control. The treatment with Tamaron Br was applied in form of weekly applications. Confidor 700 GRDA and 200 SC controlled the aphids M. persicae and B. brassicae efficiently on the cauliflower, in minor dosages, being superior to Tamaron Br, as far as the control of B. brassicae is concerned.
