Passion-fruit woodness viruses (PWV) are present in many production areas of passion-fruit in Brazil. Sintomatic plants with mosaic and woodness have been observed in production areas of the north of Paraná, in 1993 and 1994. Samples of those plants were collected for diagnostic through mechanic transmission by Myzus spp. and grafting onto indicator plants. For confirmation of the infection, it was used indirect Elisa, with anti-serum against PWV. Results by mechanic transmission and Elisa confirmed PWV in passion-fruit in the north of Paraná.
