Abstract

This study shows some characteristics of the supplying of agricultural food products to the city of Goiânia through the supermarkets and identify of the origin of these products and the participation of producers and wholesalers in this supplying. We studied the 32 most consumed products and got information from the 9 largest supermarkets in Goiânia. After an analysis on the data we were able to observe the greater participation of the state of Goiás in the processing of products of vegetable origin. The realtion to those of animal origin, São Paulo is the greatest supplier. Another conclusion is that a system of direct purchase from the manufacturer predominates with little participation of the wholesalers with these products.
