EFFICIENCY OF FUNGICIDES IN THE CONTROL OF RICE BLAST (Pyricularia oryzae Cav.)
Abstract
Efficiency of fungicides ethiltrianol and edifenphos, at different concentrations, was evaluated in rice culture (Var. IAC-165), aiming control of rice blast (Pyricularia oryzae Cav.) at field situation. Fungicides were pulverized one or two times, at seasoning phase and 15 days after first treatment. The results showed that, as to infection level of banner leaves, panicles and grain lesions there was significant statistical difference between testimony and majority of treatments with ethiltrianol and a few ones with edifenphos. The best results were obtained with ethiltrianol at maximum concentration in two treatments phases. Referring to productiveness, there was no significant difference between treatments.
