MICROBIOLOGICAL QUALITY OF RAW MILK OBTAINED FROM MILK CANS AT THE SOURCE OF PRODUCTION IN GOIÂNIA - GOIÁS
Abstract
With the present essay we evaluate the microbiological quality of the raw milk obtained from milk cans at the source or production. We collected 63 samples of milk, immediately after the early morning milking, in 33 farms from 16 different municipalities around Goiânia -GO. We found out the following microorganisms: aerobic mesophiles, aerobic psychrophiles, aerobic termoduric, total coliforms (MPN), fecal coliforms (MNP) and E. coli (MPN).
