OCCURRENCE OF SOYBEAN MAIN PESTS AND ITS NATURAL ENEMIES IN SANTA HELENA DE GOIÁS, BRAZIL

Abstract

According to the soybean crop expansion in the Goiás State, the necessity of knowledge about the principal soybean pests and their natural enemies were done in order to proceed an effective and rational control about them. Collects were done during the 1977/78, 1978/79 and 1979/80 planting at the Experimental Station in Santa Helena — Goiás. Experimental field (EMGOPA), Goiás. The principal pests were found: Anticarsia gemmatalis (Hubner. 1818), Pseudoplusia includens (Walker, 1857), Diabrotica speciosa (Germ., 1824), Cerotoma sp., Piezodorus guildini (West., 1837), Euschistus heros (Fabr., 1798) and Nezara viridula (L., 1758), and the natural enemies: Nomuraea rileyi (Farlow) Samson, Entomophtora sp., Nabis spp, Callida sp, aracnidae, dermaptera and a nuclear polyhedrosis virus (NPV).
