SERUM LEVELS OF GOT AND GPT IN BOVINES IN THE GOIÁS STATE

Abstract

With the objective of studying the serum levels of GPT and GOT, 162 blood serum from crossbred zebu were analyzed. The blood was taken from 48 calves, 31 steers and 83 cows from farms of counties in the State of Goiás. GOT serum levels (URF) were as fo1lows: calves, 72.5 +/- 27.3, steers, 72.9 +/- 19.6 and cows 81.8 +/-28.4. For GPT serum levels (URF) was found: calves, 29.5 +/- 8.1, steers, 31.1 +/- 8.3 and cows 34.1 +/- 10.6. Some differences were found in GOT and GPT, in comparison with other foreign reports in mature cows.
