PRESENCE OF ANTI-BRUCELLA AGGLUTININS IN EQUINES IN THE GOIÁS STATE, BRAZIL
Abstract
In this experiment, 597 rapid serum-agglutination test plate were carried out in order to detect undulant fever in horses from seven counties in the state of Goiás. 1.3% of the cases were positive, 7.2% of the cases were suspected to have undulant fever, and 9l,5% of the cases were negative. A predominance of 1:100 was observed. The authors concluded that the relatively low rate of undulant fever, will be increased if an adequate prophylactic program is not applied.
