CONTRIBUTION TO THE STUDY OF MINERAL DEFICIENCIES IN BOVINES IN THE GOIÁS STATE, BRAZIL

Abstract

It was determined the serum levels of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium and potassium of  88 bovines of both sexes and various ages, selected from 22 ranches in the counties of Itapaci, Jaraguá, Nerópolis, Bela Vista de Goiás, Niquelândia, Rio Verde and São Luís dos Montes Belos, Goiás. In the present study the serum levels of sodium, potassium and magnesium were within what is considered the normal limits. The serum levels of calcium, and phosphorus fluctuated.
