HEMOPERICARDIUM CAUSED BY Spirocerca lupi (RUDOLPHI, 1809) IN DOG - A CASE STUDY
Abstract
This present paper reports one case of haemopericardium in a Pequinês dog, male, 7 months old. The diagnosis was rupture of the left atrial wall caused by a supurating inflamatory process. The gross examination disclosed the presence of a round worm classified as Spirocerca lupi. The histopathologycal examination resulted in a supurated miocarditis with a large plasmocit infiltration.
