CHEMICAL CONTROL OF THE GREEN PEACH APHID (Myzus persicae, SULZER) AND TOMATO LEAF BEETLE (Diabrotica speciosa, GERMAR) IN TOMATO PLANTS

A trial to control the green peach aphid myzus persicae and tomato leaf beetle Diabrotica speciosa was carried out in Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil. The chemical treatments and dosages of the insecticides in grams of active ingredients per hectare were Betacyfluthrin 125 SC (12.5), Betacyfluthrin 50 CE (12.5 and 15.0), Methamidophos BR (600.0), Acephate BR (750.0), and Parathion metyl (600.0), plus an untreated check. The results showed that all insecticides were efficient in controlling the green peach aphid and tomato leaf beetle until 7 days after treatment applications.
