A trial to control the cotton leafworm Alabama argillacea was carried out in Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil. The acephate 750-CE with 281 and 375 g a. i./ha; alanycarb 300 CE with 150 g a. i./ha was compared to cloarfluazuron CE with 10 g a. i./ha; endosulfan CE with 420 g a. i. /ha and Bacillus thuringiensis with 16,8 g a. i. /ha, plus an untreated check. Data show that acephate with 375 g a. i./ha and B. thuringiensis plus cloarfluazuron were efficient in controlling the A. argillacea up to 7 days after treatment application. Alanycarb and endosulfan with the tested dosages did not control the A. argillacea efficiently.
