CANINE TETANUS - A CASE STUDY
Abstract
A tetanics occurrence in a dog is described, the animal displaying at consultation the following clinical indications: generalized muscular rigidity (spastic paralysis), trismus, ";risus sardonicus";, reflex hyperexcitability, erection of ears, skin wrinkling in frontal region of head and “bannertail”. Diagnosis was exclusively clinical, infection introduction by C. tetani was not detected.
