Abstract

Collections performed in distinct ecological areas, during the rainy and dry seasons, in Goiânia — Goiás, Brazil, 1975, allowed the determination of eight species of Calliphoridae and Sarcophagidae and of the local vegetation. A variation of the frequency of flies in the two collection areas and in the two periods of the year was studied too, as well as their liking for attractive substracts. The species Phaenicia eximia, Phaenicia Sericata and Oxysarcodexia paulistanensis were not found in the woods, while Hemilucilia segmentaria were found only in this area. The other species were found in both areas.
