NATURAL EPIZOOTICS OF Nomuraea rileyi AND VIRUSES AGAINST Trichoplusia ni (HUEB. 1802) AND Heliothis virescens (FABR. 1781) EVALUATED UNDER LABORATORY CONDITIONS
Abstract
The purpose of the present study was to determine under laboratory conditions the various levels of natural mortality of Trichoplusia ni and Heliothis virescens by Entomogenous viruses and the fungi Nomuraea rileyi. The results indicated 62% mortality of Trichoplusia ni by N. rileyi and 28% mortality by viruses. The data also indicated that 43% mortality of Heliothis virescens was caused by N. rileyi and 32% mortality by viruses.
