PLASTIC DEHORNING IN BOVINES
Abstract
An easy method is described for cross breed cattle dehorning in field condition. A fusiform skin incision is made around the horn basis followed by its amputation with a blade saw. Skin divulsion and hemostasis were performed after placing a gauze on bone cut surface. Skin suture was done with matress suture and ears immobilization was not necessary.
