Directions of Submission

CHARACTERIZATION OF THE PROPOSALS

i) Article/Article of Disclosure

Preferentially, the results presented, should be of unprecedented nature or with an alternative and original approach. It is pretended, that an article of disclosure be read, not only by professionals of the specific area/subarea, hereby allowing for topics related to the subject treated. For this reason, an article of  disclosure requires careful edition, clear and well-organized presentation and must not have been previously published in any other scientific source. A survey should be presented motivated by a case study of the treated subject. The formal presentation of the types ‘definition, theorem, proposition, lemma, corollary’, should be made didactically.

ii) Report of Experience

Is a precise and objective description of an investigative task or of an intervention between teaching or diffusion of mathematics, including a detailed description of  methodology, theoretical foundations that motivated the activity as well as the obtained results. However, it should not limit itself to a description, providing and analysis of the experience and its results, based on the conception of the performed task, the technical apparatus which founded it and, possibly, on similar experiences, thus allowing for the presentation of proposals originating by the reported experience.

iii) Area/Subarea Survey

A survey consists of a bibliographic survey of and area/subarea, exposing current research, results obtained, problems in need of study as well as the major researchers of the area, similar to the surveys of the major international journals. It should be written in a clear and concise manner, formulating interesting questions, which may arouse the curiosity of a semi specialized audience.

iv) Review

A review, which may be of a book, dissertation, thesis, film or other type audiovisual content, is a text presenting a critical synthesis of the scientific work of choice.
