Experiências do pai de primeira viagem: revisão sistemática de estudos qualitativos

Resumo

Objetivo: sintetizar as experiências do período pós-natal do pai de primeira viagem a partir de evidências científicas qualitativas. Métodos: revisão sistemática de estudos qualitativos, segundo as diretrizes do JBI, realizada nas bases de dados CINAHL, SCOPUS, LILACS e no portal PubMed, complementada por buscas manuais das referências do material selecionado. Os resultados foram agrupados usando o JBI SUMARI, com a abordagem de meta-agregação. A confiança no resultado da síntese da pesquisa qualitativa fundamentou-se na abordagem ConQual. Resultados: foram encontrados 1046 estudos, dos quais 12 foram incluídos. Ao todo, eles envolveram uma amostra de 164 pais. Os achados foram agrupados em duas categorias: “Repercussões da paternidade” e “Esforçando-se para uma paternidade envolvida e cuidadora”, as quais revelam novos papéis e impactos à saúde ao tornar-se pai. A paternidade é acompanhada de aprendizado de novos papéis e satisfação, mas também exerce impactos negativos na saúde mental e sexual. Conclusão: há necessidade de apoio dos profissionais de saúde ao pai de primeira viagem durante o período pós-natal, incluindo acolhimento de suas necessidades emocionais e informacionais, além do preparo para o cuidado da criança.
