The family is perceived as a partner in caring for individuals suffering psychologically, but also needs to receive appropriate support to overcome situations of physical, emotional, mental and psychological fret, and must find help in the substitutive mental health services for their needs and support for its restructuring. We believe that relational technologies, especially the receptiveness and listening, are key strategies for effective inclusion of families in the substitutive mental health services. These technologies strengthen the production of health, provide for the establishment of links that allow the nuclear family the scope of a new organization, easing the process of deinstitutionalization and psychosocial rehabilitation, assumptions Psychiatric Reform.
