Leprosy: educational process for relatives based on problematical methodology

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Actually in Brazil, despite the fact of the leprosy (Hansen’s disease) prevalence rate reduction, it still remains as a public health concern. The most important hindrance for the leprosy elimination is the information’s lack about prevention and control. The objective of the present study was to access the knowledge of patients relatives about this disease. A quantitative approach was developed in which two groups were compared before and after an educational process.
