It is a qualitative research, so then it was used a semi-structured interview method for the data collection. The collected information was grouped in theme units and analysed such as MINAYO (1996). Many problems appeared decurrent of beliefs, however, many times the orientation to the puérperas are splitted, or they do not follow them, in disregard to their culture and beliefs.
