The care self of caregivers informal at home – perception of nurse’s academics

Abstract

This is a case related by a qualitative approach, which used the observers’ subjectivity observing Alzheimer illness sufferers (DA) and their families. It has as aim to discuss about home care capacity to self-care. And so, it was searched in family-files, planning, development and home-visits reporting. Thus, it has been observed two families. The reflection on the analyzed data made the authors consider that the home nurse performance is permeated through feelings of modifications on the Alzheimer illness’ sufferer behavior. The ability to take care from the home nurses keeps narrow relationship with the familiar dynamics, which favors or not the home nurse role.
