The meaning of to experience the death of a child while nursing student

Abstract

This report presents the learning experience while 4th year nursing student of Nursing Graduation of Universidade Federal de Goiás in the practical classes of the Nursing in Maternal Infant-Youthful subject, in what intend to share the meaning of to take care of a 9 years old female child, chronic renal failure bearer, that in 8 days evolve into death. Living this process wasn’t an easy task, as it provided me intense feelings of happiness and terror. This experience contributed to my personal and professional growth, by this reason I share it.
