Report contraceptive of pregnant adolescents and your feelings as the gestation and professional future

Abstract

The present study had for objectives to identify the birth-control method used by previous pregnant adolescents to the current gestation and the reasons of your interruption; and to verify the feelings of these with relationship to the pregnancy, to the newly born future and your professionalization. Description-exploratória was about research. The data had been collected by means of interview. They announced 24 adolescents in the continuation of the third quarter of gestation that you/they accomplished prenatal accompaniment in public maternity of reference of Fortaleza-CE, in November of 2006. Twenty and a (87,5%) they used birth-control method previous to the current pregnancy, being reasons abandonment for: I want of becoming pregnant, not to believe that the pregnancy would happen with herself, access difficulty to the method, forgetfulness in the electric outlet, refuses of the partner, and collateral effects. The pregnancy raised indifference feelings; surprise, fear and happiness; and happiness. They expressed love feelings to the baby, as well as of concern with relationship to this to be born healthy. They manifested desire to continue the studies, to do an University and to work.
