The nurse as coordinator of groups: contributions of the Dynamic of Group

Abstract

In the nursing the utilization of the resource a group approach has been utilized for work with persons what requires of the professionals a specific knowledge, for attend to the objectives of the group without cause mischief to them involved. The objective of this researches was discuss to the light of the theoretical yardstick of the dynamic of group the desirable attributes for the nurse as coordinator of groups, its possibilities and limitations. We carried out a theoretical inquiry, of analytic and descriptive nature developed by means of bibliographical research. We consider like bibliographical springs, initially, the classical books of Lewin (1948), Mailhiot (1981) and Cartwright and Zander (1975) ‘will be the first references in the construction of the science of the dynamic of group and, still, for the theoretical argument, the contribution of others authors of the national contemporary literature and international, according to their adaptation to the objective proposed in that work. The analysis of the works was directed by the interest in the search of elements for the reach of the objective proposed. We structure the results of the work in three chapters. The first chapter Dynamic and Operation of Group: historical perspective, concept and foundations, brings fundamental concepts about the origin of the dynamic one of group and the initial budgets. We discuss the different and complementary conceptions of group, being that the philosophical and theoretical substantiation of the coordinator will guide the road of the satisfaction of the objectives proposed by the group. In the second chapter Groups Coordination: foundations of the Science of the dynamic of group, we approach the aspects of the coordination of group, including the planning and several phases that the group traverses in his development. We discuss still the foundations for the systematization of the activity group approach. In the last chapter: The nurse as coordinator of groups: discussing roads for the action in the aid, formation of human resources and output of the knowledge, form like base the work of Godoy (2004) articulated with experiences of others studious in the thematic one and ours own experiences in the coordination of groups. The coordination involves the assembly of scientific technical abilities, a broad knowledge of the relations between people and auto-knowledge, being able to be anchored in the theory dynamics groups beyond, of the sensibility and creativity. For that is necessary the investment of the creating institutions, for that the professionals be capable of understand the human group in all her potentials and fragilities, and like this have more conditions of transform to practical and attend the demands in health with quality.
