Abstract

Given the complexity of diagnosis validation studies, the criteria suggested for each phase of this process and those usually adopted by researchers in the development of their studies, the authors considered it appropriate to identify, in a reflexive way, points related to the range, constitutive elements of the validated diagnoses, types of validation, as well as the selection of experts and subjects in studies in this area. This course aims to contribute to reflections about guidelines for future nursing validation studies.

Key words: Nursing diagnosis; Diagnosis validation; Nursing processes.
