CARING THE THERAPEUTIC RELATIONSHIP HELP WITH A FEMALE PATIENT WITH A PSYCHE SUFFERING

Abstract

In this paper we sought to report the therapeutic interaction developed with a psyche suffering female patient developed in a Psychiatric Institute in Western region of Paraná state – Brazil, from 4th to 28th August, 2000. It also aims to establish a therapeutic help relationship and to provide the patient’s basic human needs. Seven interviews based on TRAVELBEE (1979) were used, and also two home visits. Based on HORTA’s propositions (1979), it was possible to identify the basic human needs which were used to intervene in the patient’s treatment. The analysis shows the patient’s problems and the comprehension of the factors that led her to the disease.
