The objective of this study was to identify the perception of nurses working in teams implementing the Project Education through Work in the Family Health field, towards the activities developed in the Adolescent Health Program. This qualitative study was performed in Cuiabá (Mato Grosso state), with 17 nurses. Data collection was performed using a questionnaire with descriptive variables and open answers to be answered individually. The Collective Subject Discourse was used as the method to analyze the statements. The results permitted to generate seven central ideas: health care activities; adolescents’ participation; intersectoriality; organization of the structure and care to adolescents; multidisciplinarity and interdisciplinarity; and the need for training about adolescence. In conclusion, not every Family Health team has offered activities of the Adolescent Health Program, therefore it is necessary to invest in permanent education of nurses that assist adolescents.
