This is a qualitative study that aims to describe the methodological possibilities for the use of digital technologies in undergraduate courses in Nursing, both in distance and presence learning modes. This case study was carried out with seven professors of undergraduate courses from public University in nursing enrolled in distance learning courses. Data obtained in virtual learning environment (forum, chat) underwent thematic analysis. “Digital educational technologies in Nursing teaching” and “Changes in nursing teaching for the use of communication and information resources” were the themes. The relevance of the use of digital educational technologies was evidenced by the professors, even without using any with students. The relevance of permanent education for professors of Nursing undergraduate programs was highlighted. We consider that there is the necessity on the part of Institutions to enforce actions that promote the discussion and implementation of new methodological resources in teaching.
