This article is intended to analyze in literature the tendencies of techniques and methods used for definition of ecosystem services in different Brazilian Biomes. The methodology adopted was a systematic review using the Agricultural Research Database (BDPA), Embrapa's Open Access Repository to Scientific Information (ALICE), among others. For the study, 143 publications were selected from 2000 to 2020. The chronological time margin identified that the majority of the studies carried out belong to the Cerrado Biome, with 54 studies developed and the majority published in theses and dissertations. The methodologies adopted are based on monitoring, modeling, GIS and statistics (38%), the others emphasize methodologies such as semi-structured interviews, field experiences and others. Some works use the InVEST software to offer ecosystem services based on the reduction of erosion, sediment input, hydrological studies and changes in land use. Other authors used multi-criteria modeling and analysis to assess and quantify ecosystem services and changes in land use and land cover. From the systematic review, it was possible to identify an overview of the methodologies that are being adopted in the literature and which can provide relevant information for the analysis of ecosystem service provision.
