Abstract

The drug traffic is structured having as one of its pillars the construction of multi-scale logistical and, in this context, the state of Rio Grande do Sul stands out in the 21st century with a view to growth of this activity through the action of organized groups. Facing this, it was listed as the main goal of the research to analyze the formation of network-territories as a spatial domain strategy constructed by the criminal collectives, seeking to comprehend the illicit narcotic flows to the gaucho state. Regarding the methodology, in the first moment, a literature review was carried out; then, it was choosed the statistical survey of criminal indicators alongside the Civil Police and the Federal Highway Police; finally, it was resorted to the hemerographic methodological tool, which focuses on documental research. As a result, it can be understood that the expansion of criminal collectives has as a premise the network-territories formation through the direct insertion of its representatives on the border, between Brazil and Paraguay. In addition, it was observed that after the consolidation of this process, corridors and routes were shaped through federal and state highways in Rio Grande do Sul, mainly in the northwest portion, whose objective is to distribute and control the regional market.
