Abstract

This article aims to raise awareness of the local community of the District Taquaruçu, Palmas (TO) with respect to their landscapes more representative, more pleasant and more unpleasant. Since 2001, Taquaruçu passed by the deployment of an ecotourism center that influenced several changes in their landscapes. To conduct the study was used as the theoretical basis of environmental perception, using the model approach of 'listening' and techniques of research in the field of Whyte (1977), and selected the variable identity, whose analysis helped identify relevant aspects of the perception of landscape through the local community of Taquaruçu.
