Abstract

This article aims to focus on the relation of disorganized growth of the Rio Branco city in face of rural exodus process. Thus, we have considered the social demands in the urban areas of the study area and the intervention by the local government on the regional planning. It is believed that the greatest challenges in the Amazon region are linked to the events of "disarticulated urbanization". In the other hand, the spatial organization can be considered as essential to the land management. Only from the implementation of public policies city like Rio Branco will develop in a continuous and sustainable way in order to bring a better quality of life for the in habitants of the Amazon region.
