Abstract

This work aims to explain the routes and migratory trajectories of Venezuelan migrants who undertake their mobility within Brazilian territory. It is based on a methodological plan grounded in the selection of bibliographic references, the definition of core concepts for analyzing the object, a survey of secondary data, journalistic sources, and fieldwork. Through this investigation, it is possible to affirm that migrants of Venezuelan origin contribute to the formation of multi-scalar migratory, institutional, and solidarity networks. Beyond networks and trajectories, the study also highlights the construction of multiple circularities and territorialities that shape the migration territory. Furthermore, as Venezuelans settle in Brazilian cities—particularly in the empirical case of Fortaleza—they participate in and shape an urban economy of migration, mainly linked to the lower circuit.
