The electrification process in Goiás and the new projection for the sector

The electrification process was determining for the formation and organization of the Goiás territory. With this article we aimed to stress the main points of this process using a bibliographic and documental research and data analysis in electric sector agencies. The discussions presented here, lets us conclude, that the electric matrix of Goiás in its current structural conjuncture, will face difficulties for to supply the demands of the Goiás society and of the National Interconnected System continuously, especially considering future demands. One Solution for this problem are in to make public policies that encourage the installation of photovoltaic plants in the territory, with the same incentives offered to hydroelectric plants - which demands an effective role for the State in taking responsibility for the sector's innovations.
