Abstract

The following paper is about landscape and some pathways that geography has taken over time to address such an important category. At the same time, the cracks and gaps of such historiographic trajectory are unveiled to enable artistic approaches to surface and become an invitation to think about other geographies related to people’s creative experiences. Such geographies shift from a hegemonic view (heteronormative, white and from the global north), which assumes spatial production linked to cultural and social processes, thus dissolving the “human-nature” dichotomy, adding new perspectives to the trend of experience (BONDÍA, 2002) as an essential point for their elaborations. In an invitation towards the unknown (WRIGHT, 2014) in which we can see geographies everywhere (COSGROVE, 2004), the paper provides pathways to what the author calls storytelling geography - relating the art of storytelling to spatial experiences.
