Abstract

The main objective of this work is to make a brief trajectory of the life and work of the French geographer Élisée Reclus between the years of 1872 and 1889, with the intention of demonstrating his involvement with the anarchist movement and how he sought to bring this theory of freedoms closer to the Geographic thought. The approximation between geography and anarchism occurred due to the established link between Reclus and other anarchist characters of his time constituting a circle of studies around the geography and communist anarchism.
