Abstract

At least two concepts are given for the meaning of border-line: the first is political based, related to the territorial limit of a nation; the second has an academic meaning, it is more restrict and refers to the economy of a state(front) in order to identify the processes of the * territorial expansion creating a relation with the productive areas of the local. However, both have always been guided by as the political centre as the economic centre, which means that while the area presents a territorial identity for its people who take as reference different aspects of the place, which make it unique compeering to the general characteristics of the nation where they live. More than just data (genesis, extension) empirical references constitute abstracts elements which is part of the everyday life on the border-lines of Brazil with Colombia and Dominican Republic with Haiti.
